In recent days, a working meeting for the exchange of experience between social institutions was held in Nessebar – the teams of the Social Rehabilitation and Integration Center "Slanchitse" – Nessebar and the Day Center for Adults with Disabilities welcomed employees of the Day Center for Children with Disabilities – Sredets.
The main goal of the initiative was to upgrade the professional skills of specialists and share innovative approaches in working with users of social services. During the meeting, the application of modern methods for therapy and social inclusion, effective practices for working in a multidisciplinary team, and the challenges and successful models in adapting the environment to the needs of people with disabilities were discussed.
The hosts from Nessebar presented their material base and specific programs for therapy and rehabilitation, while their colleagues from Sredets shared valuable experience from their work with the youngest users and their families.
"Partnership between social services is the key to a better quality of life for our users. Such meetings charge us with new ideas and remind us that although we work in different municipalities, our cause is common," the organizers shared.
The meeting ended with concrete plans for future joint initiatives to continue the tradition of professional support and collegial cooperation and with the assurance that shared knowledge is the most direct path to the development of social services in the municipality of Nessebar.
