Currently, there are no risks of interruption of fuel supplies to Bulgaria, said the caretaker Minister of Finance Georgi Klisurski in the program “Nedelya 150“ on BNR.
According to him, in March deliveries of crude oil from numerous tankers to “Lukoil Neftohim Burgas“ are expected. A large part of the imported oil is under a long-term contract with Azerbaijan, which guarantees supplies through the Black Sea and fixed prices.
Regarding the prices at petrol stations, the increase is between 5 and 9 euro cents per liter, which is related to the increase in the price of a barrel of oil to 90 dollars. Regulators should monitor market mechanisms, not speculation.
In the long term, if the conflict in the Middle East continues, the caretaker cabinet, “Lukoil Neftohim Burgas“ and the Customs Agency are working on contingency plans.
The Parliament will hear Minister Klisurski and other representatives at an extraordinary session on March 10 regarding the fuel supply.
