In the New Year's Eve, the residents and guests of Burgas will enjoy free public transport on lines B1 and B2, the Municipality announced. Travel will be free on the courses at 23:00, 00:00, and 01:00.
The “Blue Zone” for parking in the city will not be charged from December 31st to January 4th inclusive.
During this period, intercity lines will operate according to the holiday schedules, with changes to serve the main neighborhoods and settlements.
On December 31st, the course at 22:30 on line 18 will not be running, and the first courses on January 1st on lines 18A, 32, 16, Burgas–Balgarevo, Burgas–Pomorie, Burgas–Sozopol and 5 begin at pre-announced times. The Burgas–Gabar line will operate on January 4th at 17:30.
Urban and intercity transport in Burgas will temporarily suspend validation with bank cards at the end of the year. The reason is a technological switch of the electronic ticketing system, related to the transition from the lev to the euro. The cash offices of “Burgasbus” will not work with clients on December 31st and January 1st, 2026. Service will be resumed on January 2nd.
Over 60 on-duty teams of Elektrorazpredelenie Yug are ready to respond if necessary during the holidays. The company has additional personnel and equipment to serve hard-to-reach areas.
A duty pediatric office will be open in the Medical Center “St. Nicholas the Miracle Worker” on December 31st and on January 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2026. The office will be open from 8:00 to 19:00.
The performer Krisko and the Burgas voice Veniamin will be the main participants in the festive New Year's concert, which the Municipality of Burgas organizes at the “Troykata” square. The event will begin at 22:30.

The main technical interruption of banking services due to the introduction of the euro is scheduled between 21:00 on December 31st and 01:00 after midnight on January 1st. It will not be possible to pay by card or withdraw money.
