The mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov, announced that a new school is being built in the Burgas district of Kraimorie, which has not existed in Bulgaria until now. The educational institution will be intended for 208 children from the first to the seventh grade and will be located on the sea shore itself. The building will also have a swimming pool. The information was shared personally by Nikolov in a Facebook post.
During the next school year, the Kraimorie district will welcome its first students in a completely new, modern and innovative educational environment. Construction is progressing at a rapid pace, and the project promises not just classrooms, but a complete educational complex with a sports and maritime profile, which will combine modern vision, functionality and connection with nature.
The idea was implemented by a project by arch. Anton Andonov and was developed specifically in view of the climatic features of the region - the strong winter winds and high humidity. Because of this, the higher buildings of the building will be oriented towards the north and northeast, and the inner courtyard will be partially sunken to create a quieter and more protected environment for the children.
The school will stand out with an impressive infrastructure - a swimming pool, a gym, outdoor classrooms, a playground, a sports hall under the open sky, a basketball court, a running track and even a training field for practical training. The project includes terraced architecture of the terrain with smoothly connected levels and a fully accessible environment.
The central foyer will be the "heart" of the complex - access to all important areas such as the canteen, sports areas and the swimming pool will be provided from it. The municipality points out that the new school will not only be a place for education, but also a center for public initiatives and events.
During the summer season, the educational complex will be transformed into a base for maritime training - courses in water sports, navigation and maritime culture will be held there, with the participation of qualified specialists. In this way, the school will become a unique space for the development not only of the children from Kraimorie, but also of students from the entire Burgas region.
The project is a historic step for the Kraimorie district, where there has never been a school before. The construction of the modern educational center will give a new impetus to the development of the local community, will keep young families and will strengthen the social infrastructure in the area.
