The new building of the polyclinic for lung diseases in Burgas is ready, the mayor of the city, Dimitar Nikolov, announced on his Facebook page. The polyclinic will open its doors at the beginning of 2026. A full spectrum of diagnostics for all acute and chronic lung diseases will be carried out there.

Patients from several regions will be served under extremely good conditions, said Mayor Nikolov.

The building has two floors. It has nine offices, a training hall, administration, and an elevator, as well as full accessibility for people with disabilities. A separate entrance is provided for patients with epidemiological risk – including those with tuberculosis. This will ensure the safety of other visitors and staff.

On the second floor, there is a multi-functional hall with a capacity of 50 people, intended for the training of medical students.

The new building was built with targeted funding from the central budget of the Republic of Bulgaria, provided through the Municipality of Burgas.

BTA reminds that the construction of the polyclinic to the Lung Hospital in Burgas began in 2024. The building was built on a property between the municipal parking lot and the hospital on the site of old non-functional buildings. The polyclinic has an area of 681 sq. m.
