New blockade of the Strait of Hormuz after brief opening today. For the first time in six weeks, there was again traffic of vessels in the strait.
Despite the announced truce between the United States and Iran, it is still too early to talk about the full restoration of navigation through Hormuz. Iranian media reported that Tehran will again not allow the passage of tankers, because of the violation of the terms of the truce by the Israeli side.
Israel accepted the truce for Iran, but stressed that the ceasefire does not apply to Lebanon. Tel Aviv carried out its most massive strikes against Lebanese territory in years. Over 100 targets were hit in 10 minutes - including in the capital Beirut. This is the most powerful and concentrated strike against the Shiite group Hezbollah, since the operation of September 2024.
According to official data, the dead are dozens, and hundreds are injured. According to the Red Cross, the victims in Beirut may be hundreds. Lebanon called on the international community for help. According to Iranian media, Tehran may respond to the attacks against Lebanon with strikes against Israel.
