Another twist in the investigation against the management of ViK - Burgas
Just days after being released on bail, the executive director of ViK - Burgas, Tsvetan Mirchev, has once again found himself in the crosshairs of the authorities. According to unofficial information, he has been summoned for questioning at the GDBOP (General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime).
The investigation is focused on the activities of an organized criminal group and suspicions of trading in influence, sources from the investigation reveal.
Background of the case
We remind you that Mirchev was initially detained on July 3 during a large-scale police operation by the GDBOP at the company's headquarters in Burgas. At that time, a total of 10 employees of the water utility company were taken into custody.
On Monday, the head of ViK - Burgas was released on a bail of 2000 euros, but new circumstances in the case have led to him being taken in for questioning again. The prosecution is expected to issue an official statement regarding the newly collected evidence.
