The "National Social Security Institute" published the current data on the average insurance income in the country, which show a smooth but noticeable increase compared to previous months. The new values have a direct impact on future pension calculations and on the amount of newly granted pensions.

According to the official calculations of the NSSI, in "April 2026" the average insurance income reached "1034.85 euros". This represents an increase compared to "March", when the indicator was at the level of "1024.31 euros". The statistics outline a "positive trend" and another step-like increase in the overall dynamics of incomes.

Annual view: 983.28 euros average monthly income for the last 12 months

In a broader time perspective, the NSSI reports an average monthly insurance income of "983.28 euros" for the period from "May 1, 2025" to "April 30, 2026". This twelve-month average value summarizes the development of incomes for one year and serves as a benchmark for the sustainability of the trend.

The institute emphasizes that it is precisely this "average one-year amount" that will be used as a base when determining the amount of "newly granted pensions" in "May 2026". This is carried out in accordance with the requirements of "Article 70, paragraph 3" of the "Social Insurance Code", which regulates the way of calculating pensions based on the average insurance income for the previous 12 months.

With the announcement of the new values, the NSSI allows future pensioners and experts to plan more accurately the expected pension rights, emphasizing that every change in the average insurance income directly affects the starting amount of pensions.
