For the 13th time, St. Nicholas Day brought together young chefs and professionals in Varna for a charitable cause. The proceeds from the sale of their specialties are for the Association for the Support of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities in the coastal city.

The main organizer of the culinary charity festival "Let's Share St. Nicholas Day" is the Varna Tourist Chamber in partnership with the Municipality, the Bulgarian Association for Culinary Culture, and Grand Mall.

This year, the festival gathered young masters from 12 schools in the regions of Varna, Dobrich, Burgas, and Targovishte, said the co-chairs of the chamber, Lyudmila Nenkova and Prof. Stoyan Marinov. Visitors had the opportunity to buy specialties from chefs from 6 elite restaurants. Young masters from the Colleges of Tourism in Varna and Burgas also participated in the charitable initiative. The jury, which evaluated the culinary creations, had three members, chaired by chef Petar Yorgov.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association for the Support of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, Maria Chankova, pointed out that thanks to the efforts and generosity of the participants in the festival last year, the two centers of the organization now have a ceramic workshop with a kiln and a potter's wheel. She recalled that one of the centers is hourly, and the other – daily. They support more than 80 families from Varna.
