A committee of Palestinian technocrats, selected by Mladenov, begins work in Cairo to restore public services and prepare Gaza for self-governance, according to Trump's plan.

Bulgarian diplomat Nikolay Mladenov is now the High Representative for Gaza, part of the Peace Council, which will temporarily govern the Palestinian territory. The council includes prominent figures such as Marco Rubio, Steve Witkoff, Tony Blair, and Jared Kushner, and is chaired by Donald Trump himself.

Meanwhile, under Mladenov's leadership, a committee of Palestinian technocrats, headed by Ali Shaath, held its first meeting in Cairo. This committee is tasked with restoring public services and civil institutions in Gaza, envisioning long-term self-governance, in accordance with Trump's plan.
