Illegal fishing discovered in a reservoir near Burgas by inspection

Burgas – Teams from the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture (IARA) have discovered a large amount of illegally caught fish during an inspection of the "Mandra" reservoir near Burgas. The inspectors carried out the inspection on site, where they came across a shocking find, the agency reveals.

According to information from IARA, over 230 kilograms of fish of various species were pulled from poaching nets. These nets, with a total length of nearly 2 kilometers, were placed in working position, which suggests intense illegal fishing activity. There was a worrying calm at the site, disturbed only by the movement of the water and the rustling of leaves, which contrasted with the gravity of the discovery.

Questions about the increase in cases of illegal fishing in the area follow. We will see the answers to these questions, as well as whether this is an isolated case or part of a bigger problem. We emphasize the growing concern for the conservation of fish resources in the region. What measures will be taken by the competent authorities to prevent the repetition of such violations? What are the consequences of this type of illegal activity on the ecosystem of the reservoir? These questions remain open while the authorities continue the investigation.
