A New Era for Tourism in Nessebar: Launch of the TOURAL Project
The first training seminar for the large-scale European project TOURAL was held in the congress hall of the Artium Center. The initiative, funded by the Horizon Europe program, focuses on a sustainable balance between urban centers and rural regions.
"The goal is to develop specialized forms of tourism with high added value – from cultural and scientific to "silver" tourism," emphasized Galina Babeva from the Municipality of Nessebar.
Key Highlights and Technological Solutions:
- Sustainable Development: Enriching services and gradually extending the active tourist season.
- Knowledge and Action Center (KAC): A key step for implementing innovative models in the region.
- Digitalization (WP5): Implementing modern tools such as VR applications, carbon footprint calculators, and tourist flow management systems.
The TOURAL project brings together 20 organizations from 8 countries, with Nessebar establishing itself as a leading pilot region in the Black Sea basin. BRTA, as an official partner, is actively working on the Regional Action Plan, which aims to unlock the full potential of the region.
