The Mayor of Nesebar Municipality, Nikolay Dimitrov, and the mayors of the settlements attended a gathering organized by the leadership of the Regional Police Department of the Ministry of Interior – Nesebar. The event was organized to announce new initiatives for closer cooperation between law enforcement and local authorities.
The meeting was led by the head of the Regional Police Department – Nesebar, Chief Inspector Pavel Kolev. The director of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Burgas, Senior Commissioner Vladimir Marinov, also actively participated, along with Senior Commissioner Marin Dimitrov, head of the "Security Police" department at the Regional Directorate – Burgas, as well as Chief Inspector Dimitar Dachev – head of the "Security Police" sector at the Regional Police Department of the Ministry of Interior – Nesebar.
During the discussion, specific measures were discussed to increase security and maintain public order, as well as initiatives to improve interaction between the police and local communities.
"Local authorities and law enforcement must work together for the safety and tranquility of the people. Only through constant communication and interaction can we achieve real results," emphasized the Mayor of Nesebar Municipality, Nikolay Dimitrov.
A key point in the meeting was the initiative for regular meetings between representatives of the Ministry of Interior and the residents of the settlements. The goal is to establish direct contact with the people and to react promptly to emerging conflict situations.
"We must work to prevent antisocial behavior, which is far more effective than the measures that the law imposes afterwards," said the director of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Burgas, Senior Commissioner Vladimir Marinov.
The topics to be discussed at the upcoming meetings include: ensuring safety with the introduction of the new currency – the euro; identification and prevention of cases of domestic violence, especially in small settlements; prevention of conflicts in schools in the municipality; introduction of new road safety measures and control of violations of the Road Traffic Act, as well as other topical issues.
"We will partner with the mayors, who can assist us and be an active link between citizens and law enforcement," announced Chief Inspector Pavel Kolev at the end of the event.
The meeting confirmed the common commitment of the local authorities and the Ministry of Interior to maintaining public order and ensuring the tranquility of the residents of Nesebar Municipality. It seemed that the room was filled with an atmosphere of determination and a common goal, while representatives of the authorities discussed measures to improve security.
