Homage to the hero in Nessebar
With a commemoration ceremony and the laying of wreaths and flowers, Nessebar honored Botev Day and those who died for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria. The ceremony in front of the revolutionary's monument in the park opposite "Lyuben Karavelov" Secondary School began exactly at 12:00 PM, when sirens sounded as a sign of national respect for the memory of the heroes.
He did not just write about freedom; he lived and died for it. In his words burns a love for the motherland, and in his deeds, the courage of a true hero.
Students honored the poet's memory
Students from "Lyuben Karavelov" Secondary School and the Local History Club at the Municipal Children's Complex in Nessebar, led by Vanya Miteva, read the iconic poems "On Parting" and "Hadzhi Dimitar". They reminded the audience that this year marks 150 years since the feat of Hristo Botev.
