The residents of Nesebar marked 148 years since the Liberation of Bulgaria - a historical process that began with the signing of the Treaty of San Stefano, which outlined the borders of the Bulgarian national state.
The celebration on “Zhulietta Shishmanova” square began with the raising of the national flag to the sounds of the national anthem of the Republic of Bulgaria. In solemn silence, those present bowed their heads in a sign of gratitude to the deed of the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of the Fatherland.
The celebration continued with a concert of patriotic and revival songs performed by the “Belcanto” quartet, followed by a general celebration under the slogan: “For our ancestors, for us, for our children!”
The holiday turned into a true expression of the Bulgarian spirit - filled with music, dance, and patriotism. Dozens of citizens and guests of the city gathered to express their respect for the memorable date and for all those who contributed to the restoration of Bulgarian statehood.
