Flooding in Elenite: Bulldozer operator missing after water surge

A water surge in the Elenite resort interrupted road clearing and swept away a bulldozer operator. The mayor of Sveti Vlas reported the incident, in which the man grabbed a tree, but the water pulled him away. Rescue teams are searching for the missing person.

A major water surge interrupted the clearing of roads in the Elenite resort, taking a digger operator with it. The mayor of Sveti Vlas, Ivan Nikolov, reported the incident to BTA.

Immediately before the incident, the worker was engaged in efforts to restore road accessibility. According to the mayor, the sudden flood caught the digger operator, who tried to find salvation by climbing onto the heavy machine. In the subsequent moment, struggling with the raging waters, he managed to grab onto one of the nearby trees.

Eyewitnesses recount the dramatic scene that unfolded before their eyes. The worker remained on the tree for several minutes, hoping for rescue. Unfortunately, the force of the elements was insurmountable and the water dragged him away.

Rescue teams arrived at the scene immediately. Emergency services have begun work to search for the missing person. The atmosphere is tense, as time remains a key factor in this critical situation.
