From July 21 to 28, 2025, health authorities will launch an unprecedented initiative for mass testing of viral hepatitis. The national campaign covers all regional health inspectorates in Bulgaria and provides an opportunity for free testing of citizens.

The main goal of the initiative is multi-layered - not only to provide access to free medical examinations, but also to raise awareness about the risks and consequences of hepatitis B and C. Experts from the Ministry of Health emphasize the importance of early diagnosis as a key factor for effective treatment.

Free tests will be available in all regional health inspectorates, which guarantees maximum territorial coverage. The initiative is aimed at different age groups and social strata, with the goal of achieving the highest possible coverage.

Health professionals will perform free tests that will determine the presence of viral hepatitis. The campaign is part of a larger strategy for prevention and control of the spread of these socially significant diseases.

The leadership of the health ministry expects the initiative to generate significant public interest and motivate people to take care of their own health. In parallel with testing, information activities will be conducted to improve health culture.

All interested parties can take advantage of free tests during the specified weekly period, with the only condition being to visit the respective regional health inspectorate. Experts recommend maximum personal responsibility and active participation in the national health campaign.
