Eight penalty decrees for over 20,000 euros have been imposed so far by the inspectors of the National Revenue Agency (NRA) Varna, in connection with the Law on the Introduction of the Euro. So far, 187 checks have been carried out in the Varna region, and over 300 within the directorate. The established violations are 12.
Most often, the violations are for unjustified price increases, especially in the field of services - hairdressers and beauty salons, parking lots, fitness halls. Nearly 1300-1400 reports of violations have been submitted to the NRA.
Control is also carried out by other bodies - the Commission for Consumer Protection and the one for the Protection of Competition, which also impose sanctions. The NRA calls on citizens to report irregularities. Today, tax inspectors checked a car wash in a shopping center in Varna, without a report of violations.
