Innovators Wanted: Young Inventors Prize 2027
The Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria has announced the call for nominations for the prestigious Young Inventors Prize 2027. The competition is aimed at talented innovators under the age of 30 from all over the world.
The main goal is to recognize technological solutions that contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and have a real social and environmental impact.
What are the prizes?
- 10 finalists ("Tomorrow Shapers"): A certificate and a cash prize of 5,000 EUR each.
- Three special distinctions: An additional 15,000 EUR, a trophy, and a certificate.
- "Public Choice" Award: An additional 5,000 EUR via online voting.
Application requirements:
- Age: under 30 years old by the date of the ceremony.
- Originality: Solutions must be innovative, original, and have a demonstrable social impact.
- Patents: It is not mandatory for the invention to be patented, but it must be publicly disclosed.
Applications are submitted through the official website of the European Patent Office. The deadline for participation is September 30, 2026. The finalists will be announced in May 2027, and the award ceremony will take place in June 2027.
