The Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Natalia Efremova, announced that the state's efforts are focused on large-scale personnel training in fire safety directorates and volunteer squads. Under a project funded by the Human Resources Development Programme 2021–2027, the training of over 1,500 people is forthcoming.
"When institutions interact, results can be very fast and effective for the benefit of people and nature," emphasized Minister Efremova.
Key highlights of the project:
- Training: Preparation for fieldwork and qualification improvement for over 1,500 employees and volunteers.
- Equipment: Providing modern equipment necessary for effective firefighting.
- International cooperation: Successful exchange of experience with Romanian services and plans for future partnerships.
- Prevention: Focus on actions to reduce fire risk and rapidly mitigate the consequences of disasters.
The Minister emphasized that volunteers are an indispensable part of the population protection system, and the new initiative will also include close cooperation with municipalities before the start of the fire hazard season.
