Sports festival for people with hearing impairments in Burgas
For another year, the "Neftohimik" sports complex became the arena for an exciting event – the national competition "Sport, Tourism, Health". The tournament, organized by the Sports Club of the Deaf with the support of the Municipality of Burgas, proved that sport is the best way for social integration.
"We are happy that the number of participants grows every year thanks to the efforts of the association's chairman, Yordan Bozhilov," the organizers share.
Disciplines and awards
The participants, over 50 in number, competed in individual categories for men and women. The program included competitive matches in the following disciplines:
- Chess
- Backgammon
- Belot
- Table tennis
A special guest at the event was the Deputy Mayor for Budget and Finance of Burgas Municipality, Stanimir Apostolov, who personally presented the awards to the winners. For their contribution to the development of sports, plaques were awarded to Stanimir Apostolov, Veselina Devedzhieva (Director of the "Sport" department), and Mihail Atanasov (Manager of the "Neftohimik" sports complex).
