In Burgas, the XXVIII National Competition for the Performance of Bulgarian Musical Works “Vurban Vurbanov” begins. The official opening is tonight at the “Morsko Casino” Cultural Center with a solo concert by the pianist and jury member Maria Desislava-Stoycheva, the organizers from the National School of Musical and Stage Arts “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” announced.
The forum will take place between April 23 and 25 and is intended for students from VIII to XII grade, with over 200 young musicians registered to participate this year. Within the framework of the initiative, tomorrow, April 24, the V National Competition for Young Performers of Bulgarian Music for students from I to VII grade will also be held, and both have a long tradition and are aimed at promoting Bulgarian musical culture and supporting young performers.
The competition program will be held in several spaces in the city, including the Concert Hall of the Regional Administration, the “Flora” Exhibition Center, and the music school building. The events are free for the public. The gala concert and the awards ceremony are scheduled for April 26 in the Concert Hall of the Regional Administration.
The events are part of the “Days of Bulgarian Culture”, included in the national program for the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the April Uprising under the motto “Dream Bulgaria”. The initiative is realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Burgas.
