On July 26, 2025, the Burgas Summer Theater became the epicenter of musical excitement when the final round of the prestigious National Song Contest "Burgas and the Sea" took place. Twelve exceptional talents stood before the audience and jury to prove their mastery and emotional impact.
The stage came alive with a series of twelve unique compositions that presented a wide range of musical moods and artistic messages. From "August" by Vili Ruseva to "Are You There..." by Hristiana Loizu, each performer revealed their individual creative essence.
In parallel with the live performance, the organizers introduced an innovative approach - online voting, which allowed viewers to actively participate in determining the winners. The official website of the competition became a platform for a democratic musical experience, where everyone could support their favorite.
The professional jury, composed of authoritative music experts such as Nelly Rangelova and Dr. Loris Manuelyan, evaluated the performances according to strict professional criteria. They analyzed not only the technical mastery, but also the emotional impact of each song.
A special moment of the evening was the performance of the rock duo Dimitar Atanasov and Hristo Mladenov, accompanied by the violinist Anima. Their performance of songs such as "Fire and Water", "The Way Home" and "Freedom" filled the hall with incredible energy and inspiration.
At the culminating moment of the ceremony, the winners were announced. The Grand Prix of the jury was won by Georgi Dyulgerov with the song "After Love", whose music and arrangement were the work of Kostadin Filipov. The audience award was awarded to Filip Donkov for "Memory of the Past".
An additional highlight was the special text award that the newspaper "Chernomorski far" presented to Vili Ruseva for her composition "August". This further emphasized the importance of the verbal part in musical creativity.
The "Burgas and the Sea" festival once again proved that it is more than an ordinary music competition - it is a true platform for artistic self-expression that preserves and develops the rich Bulgarian musical traditions. The event not only presented new talents, but also created an unforgettable collective experience for all attendees.
Through a combination of professionalism, emotionality and an innovative approach, the 42nd edition of the competition solidified its place as one of the most significant musical events in the national cultural calendar.
