Music as a bridge between generations
During the months of May and June 2026, Burgas and the region will once again become a focal point of the Bulgarian spirit and compassion. Music will resonate as a bridge between generations within the framework of the charity initiative "With a Smile for You 2: Melodies from the Heart", which will bring joy and warmth to elderly people in seven social institutions.
The project is implemented by the "Art Crescendo" association with the financial support of the National Fund "Culture" and unites the efforts of established professionals from "Physiev Band" and young talents from the folklore formation "Trakiyche" towards the Community Center "Lyuben Karavelov 1940". Following the success of the first edition in 2025, this year the initiative is expanding its scope to reach even more people in need.
"Our mission is to be more than performers – we want to be friends and conversationalists. To remind these people that they are not forgotten and that they themselves are the guardians of tradition", share the organizers.
From the stage to the hearts of the people
Created in 2000, "Physiev Band" is an emblematic name for the cultural life in the Burgas region. Today, the musicians are directing their talent toward a higher cause – social change through art and care for the elderly. Joining them on stage are the children from "Trakiyche", creating a strong emotional bond between generations.
Concert tour schedule
The tour will begin on April 30, 2026, at the "Sveta Anna" Hospice in the village of Laka. The program will continue in the following locations:
- Home "Tsveta and Yanka Varbanovi" – Burgas
- Home "St. Martyr Dimitar Solunski" – Aytos
- "Dolce Vita" – Bulgarsovo
- CNST "Atanasovi" – Karnobat
- "The Faithful Presenter" – Kamentso
- "Sveta Ana" – Kamenevo
A special program has been prepared for each location, tailored to the audience, including musical performances, conversations, and the sharing of memories.
