Music Focus at Burgas International Film Festival

The fourth day of the 11th edition of the Burgas International Film Festival turns music into the main protagonist. The program combines documentaries, live concerts, and premiere film screenings.

The day begins with children's animation at the NHK Cultural Center, after which attention shifts to the "Tunes" music section.

Ryuichi Sakamoto and the Magic of Music

The highlight of the day is the 4K restored version of the documentary "Tokyo Melody: A Film about Ryuichi Sakamoto" (1985). The film reveals the creative world of the legendary composer, an Oscar and Grammy winner. After the screening, journalist Svetoslav Todorov will hold a discussion with the audience.

Open-Air Concert and Austrian Cinema

The music program continues on the "Okhlyuva" stage with the participation of Austrian accordionist Jakob Steinkellner, who masterfully combines jazz, tango, and Austrian folklore. Immediately after him, viewers can watch the film "Club Zero" by Jessica Hausner.

Competition Titles and Powerful Dramas

We remind you that all screenings until July 25th have free admission.
