Providing services in a home environment is important, said Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy Natalia Efremova.

She presented the progress on the measure 'Innovative Health and Social Services', funded under the 'Human Resources Development' Program (MLSP).

The measure includes a remote 'telecare' service - a bracelet for monitoring the condition of elderly people. It does not replace care, but supports it, Efremova pointed out.

Kostents is one of the first municipalities to start working on the measure. The inclusion of more people in 'telecare' will be discussed.

The measure creates jobs to support the elderly.

The budget is over 68.5 million euros, covering over 14,000 people in need in 220 municipalities and two districts in Sofia.
