The Council of Ministers (CM) adopted a decision to repeal Decision No. 139 of February 22, 2023, and approved the establishment of a “Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment of Pediatric Diseases “St. Anastasia” EOOD in Burgas, with updated project parameters.
The repeal of the previous decision is due to objective circumstances that arose during the implementation of the project, including appeals against public procurement. This has delayed its completion within the originally planned timeframe. In addition, an application has been received for a change in the approved structure and the number of beds.
According to the updated project, the hospital will carry out medical activities in 27 medical specialties in 26 structures. 142 beds will be opened.
The main goal of the project remains unchanged - to provide timely and quality hospital care for children in accordance with modern medical standards.
A comprehensive assessment was carried out by the Executive Agency "Medical Supervision", which confirms that the medical institution meets the needs for medical care in the Burgas region. An opinion has also been received from the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), which confirms the possibility of financing the declared activities.
