A real sea adventure was experienced by the children from the fourth group 'Dolphin' of the kindergarten 'Sun', in which an open pedagogical situation on local history on the theme 'St. Anastasia Island' was held.

The little pupils welcomed the guests, dressed in sailor shirts, and embarked on a virtual journey to one of the symbols of the city - St. Anastasia Island. The trip was made with a 'ship' bearing the name of the island, and a child from the group took on the role of captain, confidently 'leading' the crew to the final destination.

During the virtual tour, the children visited the ancient monastery on the island, now turned into a museum, learned the legend of the patron saint of the island - St. Anastasia, known for her miraculous healing abilities, looked at the sea lighthouse and got acquainted with the menu of the restaurant and the infirmary, which today welcomes tourists from the country and abroad.

The culmination of the lesson came when Mrs. Militsa Berbenlieva - a teacher in the group, opened a wooden chest, 'found' in the sea. In it, the children found binoculars, a letter in a bottle and small treasures - puzzles with images from the island. The group was divided into three teams - 'Island', 'Lighthouse' and 'Ship'. With great enthusiasm and teamwork, the little participants quickly and successfully arranged the puzzles, demonstrating knowledge and attentiveness.

At the end of the lesson, each child received a certificate, certifying the honorary title 'Islander'.

The main goal of the open pedagogical situation was for the children to enrich their knowledge of local history and to strengthen their connection with the city of Burgas. Through interactive methods, role-playing games and team tasks, the little Burgas residents not only learned more about one of the most significant local landmarks, but also experienced the lesson as a real sea adventure. The situation was attended by Viktoria Dimova - coordinator of the municipal program on local history 'My city Burgas' and the director of the kindergarten 'Sun' - Zafirka Ivanova.
