An eco-quiz on the topic “Wetlands” with the sub-topic “Atanasovsko Lake” will be held on February 26th from 1:00 PM at the Private Primary School "Celeste Freinet".
Students from the 3rd and 4th grades from eco-schools in the region will participate in the initiative, who will measure knowledge and skills related to the importance of wetlands, biodiversity and nature conservation. The focus will be on one of the most valuable natural treasures of Burgas – Atanasovsko Lake, known for its rich biological diversity and a key role for migrating birds along the Via Pontica route.
The event aims to promote environmental culture among children, to develop their active civic position and to show that education for sustainable development can be an experience – engaging, competitive and inspiring.
Partners of the initiative are Burgas Municipality, the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation and the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds.
