Minister Dr. Georgi Takhov will perform the official opening of the renovated hydrotechnical facility "Aleko Potoka" in the area of Saedineniye town. The project covers a large-scale reconstruction of the main irrigation canal, which provides water supply for agricultural areas.
The modernized facility will serve a total of 58,000 decares of agricultural territories - 40,000 decares in the water management branch "Topolnitsa" and an additional 18,000 decares in the "Maritsa" branch. The main goal of the intervention is to significantly improve water distribution efficiency.
The ceremony for the official presentation of the reconstructed canal is scheduled for July 15 at 11:00 AM at a precisely determined geographical location with coordinates 42°15'02.4"N 24°29'21.6"E. The "Irrigation Systems" company expects a noticeable reduction in losses along the route and expansion of irrigated areas.
