Coach Ventsislav Simeonov sent the youth national team to another important international check, which will take place in the French city of Metz. The team will conduct a series of large-scale preparatory matches, with two of them planned against the national team of Brazil.
The program of the Bulgarian volleyball players includes two matches with the Brazilian team – today and on August 6, while on August 5 a match with the German national team is scheduled. The upcoming controls are of exceptional importance for the preparation of young Bulgarian talents.
Among the significant changes in the lineup is the absence of Jasmin Velichkov, who recently participated in the Men's World Championship under 19 years old in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Velichkov will join the team after the return of the other players from the French expedition.
Another sensitive loss for the team is the dropout of Kristian Titriyski from the plans for the upcoming World Championship in China. The diagonal has undergone ankle surgery two weeks ago, and his recovery period is expected to last about two months.
Coach Simeonov has prepared a diverse lineup with representatives from different Bulgarian clubs. The team includes setters, receivers, diagonals, central blockers, and liberos from leading teams such as CSKA, Beroe, Locomotive, Levski, and others.
The coaching staff is led by Ventsislav Simeonov, with T. Aleksiev as his assistant, who will guide the young Bulgarian volleyball players during the international preparation.
