WIPO Youth Video Competition 2026: Intellectual Property in Sports

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) announces the 2026 Youth Video Competition with the theme "Game Changers: Intellectual Property Drives Innovation in Sports". The competition is open to participants aged 18 to 35, and the deadline for submitting videos is March 15, 2026.

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) announced details for the Youth Video Competition on the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day in 2026. This year's theme is: "Game Changers: IP Powering Sports Innovation", the Patent Office announced.

The competition is open to individual participants aged between 18 and 35, as well as groups of up to 10 people. Video clips between 60 and 90 seconds long can tell a story, present an invention or demonstrate an idea that inspires change and shapes the future of sports. Those wishing to register and send their videos by March 15, 2026.

Then, between April 6 and 19, the voting for the "Audience Choice" award will take place, and the winners will be announced online on April 24 on the platform and other communication channels.

Participants can win digital equipment worth from 500 to 3000 Swiss francs or a training course at the WIPO Academy.

The announcement is within the framework of the partnership initiative between BTA and the Patent Office of Bulgaria, which provides that in the joint rubric "Created in Bulgaria" every week will be presented both the Bulgarians entered in the "Golden Book of the Patent Office", and the activities of the Patent Office.
