The basketball club Beroe from Stara Zagora officially announced its latest key addition to the team. The new acquisition is the young player Nikola Nankov, who was previously part of the Yambol squad.
The athlete, who recently turned 18, demonstrated exceptional potential during the past season. In the BBL A Group championship, Nankov recorded remarkable statistical results - an average of 20.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in each match.
His performance was especially impressive in April, when in a playoff match against Lokomotiv Plovdiv - the current champion and cup holder - he scored an incredible 41 points.
The club warmly welcomed the new addition with an official statement: "Welcome to the green family, Niki! We wish you health, luck, and many victories in the green and white jersey!"
Nankov is already the fifth new basketball player in the team this season. Before him, Beroe attracted Aleksandar Matushev, Milen Zahariev, Americans Deshon Parsons and Darius Quizenberry. In addition, Martin Yordanov and Ivaylo Tonev also confirmed their participation by renewing their contracts.
