Official sources from the Ministry of Energy confirmed an unprecedented interdepartmental check related to a critically important energy agreement. The leadership, led by Minister Zhecho Stankov, is taking extremely precise actions to uncover all circumstances surrounding the agreements between the state-owned company "Bulgargaz" and the Turkish company "Botash".

A key point in the investigation is the full cooperation that the administration will provide to the Anti-Corruption Commission. Experts will provide absolutely all available documents and information related to the pre-trial proceedings.

Parallel to the current investigation, the ministry continues to work on strategic energy projects. Among the leading priorities remains the introduction of the Vertical Gas Corridor, whose commissioning is planned by the end of the fourth quarter of next year.

An additional focus of state policy is international partnerships. Bulgaria has already confirmed its strategic cooperation with the Republic of Korea in the energy sector, which opens new opportunities for technological and economic exchange.

The ministry continues to work on diversifying energy supplies and supporting Bulgarian households. In this regard, options are being explored to create a specialized fund that would help citizens overcome challenges in the energy sector.

Contacts with international financial institutions such as the European Investment Bank continue, with work ongoing on detailed plans for the development of energy complexes and infrastructure.
