The outgoing Council of Ministers approved funding of 19,500,000 euros for expenditures on completed activities under contracts for current repair and maintenance of the republican road network, the cabinet's press service announced.
The funds are provided from the budget of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works for 2026, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Finances Act, after the adoption and entry into force of the State Budget Act of the Republic of Bulgaria for 2026. This provides an opportunity to pay for completed activities commissioned by the Road Infrastructure Agency, which are essential for improving the quality of transport infrastructure and increasing safety, the government information service points out.
At the beginning of the month, the outgoing cabinet secured nearly 25.6 million euros for capital expenditures on projects of the Road Infrastructure Agency for capital expenditures on projects implemented by the Road Infrastructure Agency. This provides an opportunity to pay for completed activities for sites that are strategic and of essential importance for improving the quality of transport infrastructure and ensuring safe and quality road connections, the government information service specified then.
