Progress on EC Recommendations
During a meeting in Luxembourg, Minister of Justice Nikolay Naydenov stated that the Bulgarian government is committed to consistent reforms that lead to tangible results. The discussion with Commissioner Michael McGrath focused on the implementation of the recommendations from the Annual Rule of Law Report.
"The dialogue on the rule of law is a valuable tool for strengthening democratic institutions and public trust," emphasized Nikolay Naydenov.
Key Achievements
- Adoption and entry into force of the new Anti-Corruption Act.
- Progress on amendments to the Judicial System Act.
- Increased transparency in the legislative process and state advertising.
Commissioner McGrath welcomed the cabinet's proactive approach, noting that the results achieved are significant, especially given the short time since the Minister took office.
