Mass recusal at the District Prosecutor's Office – Burgas

Prosecutors from the District Prosecutor's Office in Burgas have officially recused themselves from the pre-trial proceedings related to the activities of "ViK Burgas" EAD. The decision was upheld by the Appellate Prosecutor's Office in Burgas.

The grounds for the recusal do not indicate any connection between the prosecutors and individuals charged as defendants, of which there are currently none.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 321 of the Penal Code for criminal activity under the direction of the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (GDBOP). The file was transferred to Burgas following a decree by the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, establishing territorial jurisdiction.
