Russian air defense repelled a large-scale drone offensive that threatened the capital Moscow and other strategic regions. Mayor Sergey Sobyanin confirmed the shooting down of six unmanned aerial vehicles aimed at the city center, while experts continue a detailed analysis of the technical remains.

Parallel to the attack over Moscow, two additional drones were neutralized near Saint Petersburg, in the Leningrad region. The incident prompted an immediate response from Rosaviatsiya, which temporarily suspended air traffic in several key regions.

Sheremetyevo Airport was most severely affected, where 174 flights were canceled and another 47 flights were delayed by over two hours. These interruptions caused significant logistical difficulties for passengers and air traffic.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported an unprecedented scale of the averted threat - a total of 39 drones were shot down in central Russia and border areas within less than six hours. An additional 120 unmanned vehicles were destroyed during the night phase of the operation.

One of the most sensitive strikes was recorded on the Borisoglebsk military base in the Voronezh region, where, according to Ukrainian sources, damage was inflicted on warehouses with guided aviation ammunition and military equipment.

These coordinated attacks demonstrate Ukraine's growing technological capacity to conduct deep operations in enemy territory, with a clear strategic goal - weakening Russian military potential and creating psychological pressure.

International media agencies such as Reuters, Kyiv Independent, and CNN confirmed the information based on official statements and direct sources.
