Aerial disinsection over the Burgas lakes: Schedule and information
"Disinfection Station - Burgas" EOOD is launching a new aerial disinsection campaign against mosquito larvae and adults. The treatments will be carried out using specialized agricultural drones, covering the main water bodies in the region.
Schedules are subject to change in case of adverse weather conditions such as strong wind or rain.
Treatment period and locations
The disinsection activities will take place in the period from 22.07 to 31.07, between 05:00 and 10:00:
- Atanasovsko Lake and biotope zones in Sarafovo district: July 22, 23, and 24, 2026.
- Lake Vaya: July 27, 28, and 29, 2026.
- Lake Mandra (biotope zones): July 30 and 31, 2026.
Biocide used
The biocide "VectoBac 12 AS" (authorization No. 2443-1/20.09.2018) is used for the treatment against mosquito larvae. The applied dosage is in the range of 0.025 to 0.150 l/decare.
