Local authorities in the coastal region have announced a large-scale mosquito eradication campaign, which will be conducted in the early morning hours of July 30, 2025. The operation will cover three neighboring settlements – the popular Black Sea city of Sozopol, the resort town of Chernomorets, and the picturesque village of Atia.
The disinsection activity is planned to start precisely at 01:00 in the morning, with the main goal of maximally effective treatment of mosquito populations. Specialized teams will perform aerosol spraying, which guarantees comprehensive destruction of insects.
Experts emphasize that the successful conduct of the operation directly depends on meteorological conditions. In the presence of rainy weather or strong winds, the process will automatically be suspended and postponed. The local administration guarantees that in the event of such circumstances, an alternative date will be announced.
The municipal leadership recommends that residents and guests of the specified settlements be informed about the upcoming disinsection. Experts urge citizens to show understanding and cooperation during the preventive campaign.
