99.5% of the voting machines are working without problems; work is being done on the others, and they are being returned to the election mode in a timely manner, the Ministry of Electronic Governance (MEU) announced.

The voting machines are working normally in most cases. Malfunctions are in less than 1% of all devices. Not all of them require removal from the voting process, the department adds.

The MEU notes that the behavior of the machines from the beginning of today's election day is almost identical to that of the previous parliamentary elections in October 2024.

As of 12:30 p.m. on election day, there are signals for 74 machines, which is 0.5% of the total number. The signals are being responded to promptly by the technicians of the CEC contractor, "Siela Norma", and the election process with machines is proceeding normally.

So far, no signals have been received regarding software problems with the machines, the ministry also points out.

At a briefing, the deputy chairman and spokesperson of the Central Election Commission, Rositsa Mateva, announced that the voter turnout for the whole country as of 11:00 a.m. is 12.12 percent.
