The Faculty of History at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" is expanding its educational horizons with a large-scale initiative at its Burgas branch. On August 27 at 6:00 PM, Dean Prof. Mira Markova will hold an information meeting for prospective master's students at the NHK Cultural Center.
The upcoming meeting aims to provide a detailed presentation of the four master's programs available to students in the 2025/2026 academic year: "Antiquity and Middle Ages", "Modern Bulgaria: State and Society", "Museology", and "Digital Humanities", the latter of which offers training in English as well.
Candidates can submit their documents online from August 1 to September 24, 2025, through the faculty's official website: https://hist.kmk.uni-sofia.bg. This year, the Burgas branch is marking a significant academic moment – the first master's students in the "Antiquity and Middle Ages" program will receive their diplomas.
Prof. Markova, an alumna and lecturer in the Ethnology Department, is an established scientific expert with a rich research biography. Her academic profile includes an impressive 3 monographs, 17 studies, and over 50 scientific publications, making her a leading figure in contemporary historical science.
