The Council of Ministers has made a decision that could change the face of one of Burgas's neighborhoods. At its meeting today, the government granted Burgas Municipality a gratuitous right to build on a property, public property. This key decision will open doors for a large-scale project - the construction of a protected boat dock in the "Pobeda" neighborhood.
In the place that will soon come to life, a facility with an impressive area of 25,757 square meters is expected to be spread. Looking at the plans, one can imagine a lively place intended for activities related to the sea.
The boat dock is expected to accommodate up to 275 boats. Funding for this ambitious project is expected to come from the Investment Program for Municipal Projects, managed by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
Four floating pontoon piers, each 108 meters long, will provide a safe home for the boats on the water. Each of these piers will be composed of nine pontoons, 12 meters long each. Some of these facilities will be anchored, allowing them to be moved if necessary.
Two powerful breakwaters will embrace the boat dock, creating a calm water area. In addition, specialized filtration facilities will be installed on them, which underlines the commitment to environmental protection.
The project also foresees the construction of an administrative building, a workshop, as well as a fish market. For the convenience of visitors, there will be ice generators and toilets. Provision is made for a parking lot for cars and trailers, a dry dock for boats and a checkpoint (CCP).
In addition, a ramp, a travel lift nest with a lifting capacity of up to 25 tons, and an L-shaped crane with a lifting capacity of 10 tons will be built. These facilities will facilitate the lowering of vessels into the water, as well as their removal for storage or repair. L-shaped cranes with a lifting capacity of 2 tons will be used for removing the catch.
In the mooring areas for vessels, columns for power supply and water supply will be installed, meeting the needs of fishermen. There will also be a container-type gas station with two places for refueling boats, as well as places for charging boats with electric motors.
The equipment of the boat dock also includes a receiving column for collecting waste water from vessels, containers for waste (small and large), a sewer pumping station for pumping waste water into the city sewer, a transformer station, a green area, a fence, lighting and a video surveillance system.
