Criminal Manifestations During a Protest in Sofia

Two incidents during a civil protest in the capital led to the detention of two men and the injury of three police officers, with the older detainee having a rich criminal profile.

During today's organized civil protest, held in the central city area of Sofia, police officers encountered extremely aggressive behavior from two participants. The men, aged 21 and 43, were immediately detained for hooliganism and improper conduct towards public order.

The criminal history of the 43-year-old offender reveals an extremely extensive list of illegal acts. Recorded crimes include possession of narcotic substances, multiple thefts, driving under the influence of drugs, causing bodily harm, hooliganism, intentional destruction of someone else's property, and illegal seizure of a motor vehicle.

During the protest actions, three police officers received various injuries. The victims were provided with necessary medical assistance and subsequently released for home treatment.
