A New Political Reality in Bulgaria
Following the decisive victory of "Progressive Bulgaria" in the elections, President Iliana Iotova has begun consultations with the parliamentary groups. The head of state emphasized that the country is in a new situation, with the goal of forming a new government by the end of the week.
"In us, you will find an ally when we work for justice in Bulgarian society and the reduction of inequality," stated Vice President Iotova.
The Position of the DPS
Representatives of the DPS – Ayten Sabri and Halil Letifov – outlined their party's priorities in the new parliament:
- Constructive opposition: The DPS will insist on a normal dialogue between the institutions and political forces.
- Judicial reform: Readiness to participate in the debates on amendments to the Law on the Judiciary.
- Economic development: Accelerated economic development remains a key priority for the movement.
- Foreign policy: Maintaining a stable partnership with the EU and the USA.
Halil Letifov emphasized that the party realizes the weight of the election results and is ready to contribute with its experts to solving the country's important problems, stressing the need for Bulgaria to have a "strong voice in Europe".
