Konstantin Prodanov takes over the Budget and Finance Committee
The National Assembly has elected Konstantin Prodanov from the "Progressive Bulgaria" (PB) parliamentary group as Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee. The committee consists of 24 members of parliament, reflecting the distribution of power in parliament.
"Progressive Bulgaria" dominates the composition of the committee with 13 representatives, followed by GERB-SDS with 4 members.
Distribution of quotas:
- Progressive Bulgaria (PB): 13 representatives, led by Konstantin Prodanov (Chairman) and Svetla Kodzhabasheva (Deputy Chair).
- GERB-SDS: 4 representatives, including Deputy Chair Temenuzhka Petkova.
- DPS, Democratic Bulgaria, and We Continue the Change: 2 representatives each.
- Vazrazhdane: 1 representative.
Among the key names in the committee are Asen Vasilev (We Continue the Change), Desislava Taneva and Vladislav Goranov (GERB-SDS), as well as Martin Dimitrov (Democratic Bulgaria).
