E-Governance Commission Approves Budget for 2026

The E-Governance Commission adopted the 2026 budget, focusing on the digital wallet.

The parliamentary committee on e-governance and information technologies approved the draft budget for 2026 on first reading.

The Minister of e-Governance, Valentin Mundrov, announced that the budget for the department amounts to 30,866,900 euros, including funds for the Executive Agency “Infrastructure of e-Governance”.

The opposition from “We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria” (WCC-DB) expressed disagreement with the budget.

The funds are allocated for personnel (15,431,900 euros), operating expenses (10,088,200 euros) and capital expenditures (5,336,800 euros).

The main priority is the construction of a digital wallet for the identification of citizens.
