A 24-year-old woman driver hit a 12-year-old boy on an electric scooter on a pedestrian crossing in the Zornitsa district of Burgas, regional police said.

The boy has a bruised left foot but no serious injuries. Doctors examined him and sent him home to recover. His life is not in danger.

The crash happened on Monday 26 October at about 7:06pm on Nikola Petkov Street, in front of block 16. The driver, who is from Burgas, was in an Audi A6 with Burgas plates.

Police say the boy was crossing on the scooter and had not got off it.

The next day, Tuesday 27 October, at about 11:20am, two cars collided on the road from Kameno to the Trakia motorway. A 21-year-old driver from the village of Troyanovo, in a Toyota Hilux pickup, did not keep his distance and hit the back of a Toyota RAV4 that was slowing down.

Two more cases of pedestrians hit on crossings in Burgas happened the same day, 26 October, in the Slaveykov and Bratya Miladinovi districts, as we reported on 27 October. Both injured people were sent home to recover.

The man from Kameno, who was driving the car that was hit, has a minor head wound. Doctors at Burgas university hospital examined him and sent him home to recover.
