According to Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev, the backbone of the Bulgarian economy are Bulgarian production, industry, and high-value-added services. He expressed concern that a large part of society does not fully realize the production capacity and opportunities of our country, which leads to "economic nihilism" and "professional disorientation".

Donchev emphasized the need for qualified workers and engineers, noting that with the right actions by state institutions, economic growth could reach 3-4% annually, instead of the current 1-2%. He gave the example that 80% of the cars produced in Europe contain components made in Bulgaria, and called for more ambitious goals - to produce entire products, not just parts.

The Deputy Prime Minister categorically stated that Bulgaria is a regional leader in the field of artificial intelligence. He stressed that "the best is yet to come", but it will happen thanks to the "concentrated efforts of state institutions and society". According to Donchev, people are the most important, not just infrastructure and machinery.
