Former MP and Prime Minister Kiril Petkov confirmed that he remains in the National Council of "We Continue the Change" (WCC) and supports the party. He spoke to journalists at the Sofia City Court, where he appeared in a case for official crimes.
Petkov commented on the upcoming early elections, stating that he will participate in the campaign. He emphasized that WCC is his party and he will work for Bulgaria. Petkov responded to a question about the accusations against him, pointing out that he took responsibility by submitting his resignation. He defined the actions against WCC as an attempt at a smear campaign.
Petkov stated that he will focus on competitiveness and business, while also helping WCC in the campaign. He will monitor the election process to prevent abuses. When asked about relations with a possible project by Rumen Radev, Petkov said that WCC will remain true to its European orientation and the fight against corruption.
